While still a PhD student at Stanford, Yanshuo Zhang served as a translator for Mr. Wang Meng for his public lecture at San Francisco Public Library. Mr. Wang Meng was the former Head of the Ministry of Culture of China, also one of the most renowned authors of contemporary China (laureate of the People’s Artist Medal of China).
